Alexander Forrest Hunter was a Scottish footballer who played as a full back for Hamilton Academical, Motherwell and Bo'ness. Between 1921 and 1928 he played 200 times for hometown club Hamilton, who were members of the Scottish Football League's top division throughout the period. He served a brief loan at Dumbarton in 1926 which consisted of one appearance in the Scottish Cup. After moving to Accies' Lanarkshire derby rivals Motherwell in a swap deal involving winger Frank Wilson, Hunter was a
