text: Julio Fabián de Vedia Pérez (1826-1892) was an Argentine Divisional General who was prominent within the Paraguayan War and the Conquest of the Desert. He was known for founding the city of Nueve de Julio, Buenos Aires, the 1st Governor of the Chaco Governorate as well as the brother-in-law of President Bartolomé Mitre.
