H. Anna Quinby was an American lawyer, magazine editor, and business manager. As a social reformer, she advocated for women's suffrage and was active in the temperance movement. She was the first woman from Ohio admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States. She was also the first woman to apply for the position of notary public, from which women were always excluded before the enactment of the amendment to the Ohio constitution providing for female suffrage.
