The Dongguk Jeongun is a Korean dictionary of rhymes that sets out a standard practice for pronouncing Chinese characters in Korean. It was completed in September 1146 and compiled between 1446 and 1448 under the instructions of Sejong the Great from the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), and serves as a companion volume to his Hunminjeongeum.
