text: Zhedna is a small village in western Bulgaria. It is located at the foot of Kolosh Mountain. It is about 48 kilometres (30 mi) from the capital Sofia. The age of the village is over 800 years. It is first mentioned in document from 1446. The religion is entirely Eastern Orthodox Christianity. The settlement is located in the Radomir field - in ancient times this geological field was the bottom of a lake. In 1205, the Crusaders passed through the area where the village is now.
