Ylva Karlsson is a Swedish children's writer. She received the Astrid Lindgren Prize in 2021. She was a member of the Swedish Academy for Children's Books from 2009 to 2012. She was born in Hallonbergen and now lives in Bagarmossen. She made her literary debut at the age of 20 with the novel Tova, for which she received the Slangbellan prize.
