text: X Herculis is a star about 400 light years from the Earth in the constellation Hercules. It is a semiregular variable star, ranging in brightness from magnitude 5.8 to 7.0 over a period of about 102 days. It is rarely visible to the naked-eye, but can be seen easily with a small telescope, or binoculars. X Herculis was discovered to be a variable star by John Gore, in 1890.
