The Wulian Feng are a mountain range in Yunnan, China, forming the northwest edge of the Yungui Plateau. The mountains are more of an escarpment than a true mountain range, towering above the right bank of the Jinsha River as it enters the Sichuan Basin and becomes the Yangtze. From the Jinsha River floor, the Wulian Feng rise over 2,500 m (8,200 ft) in less than 5 km (3.1 mi) forming impressive peak-like characteristics and thus leading to their name.
