The WOMEX Awards also known as World Music Expo Award is an award for world music, first introduced in 1999. From 2008, two awards were offered per year: one for "Artists" and one for "Professional Excellence". The WOMEX Top Label Award was created in 2006 and selected using data gathered by the World Music Charts Europe (WMCE).
