text: Windsor railway station is a commuter railway station on the Sandringham line, which is part of the Melbourne railway network. It serves the south-eastern suburb of Windsor, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Windsor station is a ground level unstaffed station, featuring two side platforms. It opened on 19 December 1859. Initially opened as Chapel Street, the station was given its current name of Windsor on 1 January 1867. The station is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.
