Wild Greens are a green political youth movement. The movement began in 1997 when the Wild Greens, a semi-autonomous youth wing of the Green Party of Aotearoa New Zealand, formed. New Zealand's Wild Greens, unlike their parent party, were committed to direct action and taking risks of bodily harm to protect the environment.
