Werner Scheler was a German physician and pharmacologist. Between 1959 and 1971 he worked at the University of Greifswald where he served as the Director of the university's Institute of Pharmacology and as a teaching professor in his subject, subsequently also becoming the University Rector following the death of Georg Tartler.
