text: Wadi Seidna Air Base is a military airport 22 kilometres (14 mi) north of Khartoum in Sudan. After the 2023 Sudan conflict began, the French Special Forces, the U.K. Royal Air Force, the German Luftwaffe, the Royal Netherlands Air Force and the Spanish Air and Space Force began evacuating civilians through the airbase. The air base's history goes back to World War II. The U.S. Army Air Forces' 46th Ferrying Squadron, Air Transport Command, was activated at the base on 2 December 1942. The squadr
