text: William Blakeman Scarth was a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1958 to 1962 as a Progressive Conservative. The son of William Frederick Scarth and Nellie Blakeman, Scarth was born in Virden, Manitoba. During World War I, he served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force. Scarth was educated at the University of Manitoba, receiving a law degree, and then practised law in Flin Flon, Dauphin, The Pas and Winnipeg. In 1928, he married Clara Irene. Sc
