Victory Square is a city square in the south of Saint Petersburg, Russia, named after the Soviet victory in the Great Patriotic War. It is located in the very end of Moskovsky Prospekt avenue 8 km from the city's primary Pulkovo Airport – not in the central part of the city, despite this name being common in the former Soviet cities as a central city square. The nearest metro station is Moskovskaya. The thoroughfare with the solemn ensemble of the square is the southern entrance to the city for
