Vesyegonsk is a town and the administrative center of Vesyegonsky District in Tver Oblast, Russia. Population: 7,329 (2010 Russian census); 8,662 (2002 Census); 9,574 (1989 Soviet census). The historical part of Vesyegonsk lies under the waters of the Rybinsk Reservoir. It was previously known as Ves Yogonskaya.
