Vani Vilasa Sagara, popularly known as Mari Kanive is a dam in Hosadurga Taluk, Chitradurga District, in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located about 33 km east of Hosadurga, 55 km south of Chitradurga, and 180 km north-west of Bengaluru. Vani Vilasa Sagara was built by the Mysore Maharajas pre-independence across the river Vedavathi. Vani Vilasa Sagara is the oldest dam in the state.
