Vĩnh Thuận is a rural district of Kiên Giang province in the Mekong River Delta region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 133,539. The district covers an area of 608 km². The district capital lies at Vĩnh Thuận. It is one of the southernmost districts of Kiên Giang Province. Despite being in Kiên Giang, it is closer to Cà Mau than Rạch Giá. Vĩnh Thuận is bordered by An Minh and An Biên districts in the west, Gò Quao District in the north, Phước Long District in the southeast
