Trenes Argentinos is the name that has been given since 2014 to a group of state-owned companies of Argentina, responsible respectively for the operation of passenger and freight trains, infrastructure, and personal management. Although all its components are under the orbit of the Ministry of Transport, they do not make up an administrative unit. Since the liquidation of Ferrocarriles Argentinos during the government of Carlos Saúl Menem, Argentina had ceased to have a national railway company.
