text: Torreon is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sandoval County, New Mexico, United States. The population was 297 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Statistical Area. Torreon is a small community that is home to many Navajo families. Torreon is split by the Sandoval and McKinley county line. The highway coming from Cuba is Highway 197 and passes through Torreon.
