Torleiv Anda was a Norwegian diplomat and politician for the Labour Party. He studied at the University of Oslo during the 1940s. After the 1943 University of Oslo fire he was incarcerated together with hundreds of other students and shipped to "readjustment" camps in Germany. He was incarcerated in Stavern for some time, then from December 1943 he was incarcerated in Sennheim and Buchenwald until the war's end. He finally graduated with the cand.mag. degree in 1948, and spent three years in the
