Professor Antony Clifford Dornhorst CBE, FRCP (1915–2003) was a British physician and medical educator, described by The Guardian as "one of the outstanding academic clinician-scientists of his generation". Dornhorst was born on 2 April 1915 in Woodford, Essex. His father was a company director of Dutch descent; his mother a musician. He was educated at St Clement Danes School, but did not attend school between the ages of 12 and 14. He subsequently studied medicine at St Thomas's Hospital Medic
