Tomaž Kavčič is a Slovenian football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. Kavčič was the manager of the Slovenian national team between 2017 and 2018, and Slovenian under-21 team for eight years between 2008 and 2014; he was also an assistant manager of the national team manager Srečko Katanec between 2016 and 2017. While playing for Gorica he scored his debut goal in the Slovenian PrvaLiga aged 38 years and 4 months, which is still a Slovenian record.
