TIE Fighter is a 2015 short Star Wars animated fan film, depicting a space battle between the Empire and the Rebel Alliance from the Imperial TIE pilots' point of view. It was created by Paul Johnson over four years worth of weekends. Johnson stated that the film is an homage to not only the anime style of the 1980s, but also the 1994 Star Wars: TIE Fighter video game, which the film uses sound effects from and borrows the logo design of. A remastered version, using sound effects and theme music
