Thorvald Ulsnæs was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Gran. Following basic education, he was a painter's apprentice from 1904 and painter from 1907. From 1924 to 1950 he was a master painter in the Norwegian State Railways. Buying a small farm in 1922, Ulsnæs also served as deputy chair of Oppland Farmers and Smallholders Union from 1930 to 1953.
