Thomas Owen was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons between 1624 and 1640. He supported the Royalist cause in the English Civil War. Owen was the son of Edward Owen, a draper and alderman of Shrewsbury, who was loosely related to the Owen family of Condover Hall, and his wife Joanna, daughter of Richard Purcell. He entered Shrewsbury School in 1589. He is believed to have been the same Thomas Owen who was a law student at Lincoln's Inn in 1598 and was called to the bar in 1606.
