The National Elephant Center was an American 501(c)(3) non-profit conservation organization founded by a group of ten directors from zoos accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). The National Elephant Center was open from 2013 - 2016 and is now closed. It was created to provide care to African and Asian elephants on a 225-acre (91 ha) site in Fellsmere, Florida.
