The cartoon was released on May 6, 1950, and features Foghorn Leghorn, Henery Hawk and the Barnyard Dawg. The title is a play upon the 1945 Jack Benny film The Horn Blows at Midnight, a notable flop which Benny often poked rueful fun at on his radio show. Carl Stalling, the studios musical director, was said to have scored the "moving ad" sequence in that film as requested by Warner Bros.' orch
