text: Therese Brisson is a Canadian former ice hockey player. Brisson played for the Canadian National and Olympic women's ice hockey team from 1993 to 2005. Brisson was a member of Team Canada’s gold medal winning team at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. She helped Canada win six World Championships in 1994, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, and 2004. She earned a silver medal at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, which marked the first time that women’s hockey was played on an Olympic level
