Taranta Peligna is a comune and town in the province of Chieti in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. It is 57 kilometres (35 mi) from Chieti. Located in the Aventino Valley, at the foot of the Maiella, in the past it was famous for its industry of woolen cloth called "taranta", a still thriving activity.
