Taisha was a town located in Hikawa District, Shimane Prefecture, Japan. As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 15,733 and a density of 376.39 persons per km. The total area was 41.80 km. On March 22, 2005, Taisha, along with the city of Hirata, the towns of Koryō, Sada and Taki, was merged into the expanded city of Izumo.
