text: Syllepte melanopalis is a moth in the family Crambidae. It was described by George Hampson in 1908. It is endemic to Mayotte in the Indian Ocean off the coast of southeast Africa. The wingspan is about 24 millimetres (0.94 in). Adults are fuscous brown with a slight cupreous gloss, the forewings with a dark antemedial line, with a white band on the inner side, excurved from the costa to the submedian fold, then slightly incurved.
