Strool is a ghost town in Perkins County, in the U.S. state of South Dakota. Founded by homesteader Benjamin Strool in 1908, Strool was noted for its thriving culture and baseball team, Jewish community, and practice of renting land rather than selling it. Strool was formally disestablished in 1955, but the settlement was succeeded by Prairie City, located two miles away.
