text: There have been two baronetcies created for persons with the surname Stephen, both in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. Both creations are extinct. The Stephen baronetcy, of Montreal in the Province of Quebec in the Dominion of Canada, was created in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on 3 March 1886 for George Stephen, a prominent Canadian businessman who was born in Scotland. In 1891, he was granted the title of Baron Mount Stephen in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. His titles became
