Stefan Staszewski, born Gustaw Szusterman also known as Gustaw Szuster, was a Polish communist politician of Jewish origin. An activist in the communist movement from the age of fourteen, he was in the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Poland in 1930–1932. His arrests in Poland were followed by extended stays in the Soviet Union. He graduated from and after 1934 became an instructor at the International Lenin School in Moscow.
