Standon Green End is a hamlet situated just off the A10 road between Ware and Puckeridge in Hertfordshire. At the 2011 Census the population of the hamlet is included in the civil parish of Standon. Standon Green End is most notable for being at the final landing point of Vincenzo Lunardi's historic first hot air balloon flight in 1784. There is a boulder near to the settlement, with a plaque attached, the text reading:
