Sol-Iletsk is a town in Orenburg Oblast, Russia, located on the right bank of the Ilek River, 77 kilometers (48 mi) south of Orenburg, the administrative center of the oblast. Population: 28,377 (2010 Russian census); 26,883 (2002 Census); 23,836 (1989 Soviet census); 22,000 (1975); 11,802 (1897). The climate is arid, sharply continental.
