Småländska is the accent of Swedish spoken in the historical province of Småland in southern Sweden. The northeastern accents are mainly influenced by the Central Swedish accents while the southwest has been more influenced by Southern Swedish accents, like that of Halland and Scania. Among the most distinguishing features of southern Småländska is the use of a uvular trill for the Swedish phoneme /r/.
A major isogloss runs straight through Småland in a rough line from the border to Västergötlan
