Sita Swayamvara is a popular event in the history of the epic Ramayana in the Indian subcontinent. The event was related to a competition among the kings in the subcontinent to get an offer for marrying with the princess Sita of the Mithila Kingdom. The competition of the Sita Swayamvara was organised at the court of the King Shreedhwaja Janaka in Mithila.
