Sir Henry Dashwood Peyton, 1st Baronet (1736–1789), of Doddington, Cambridgeshire, was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1782 to 1789. Peyton was born Henry Dashwood, the eldest son of George Dashwood and his wife Margaret Peyton, daughter of Sir Sewster Peyton, 2nd Baronet, of Doddington. His father died in 1762 and he succeeded to his estate. When he succeeded to his uncle's estates on 29 June 1771, he took the latter's name of Peyton as his own. He married Frances Rou
