Shinsei Ryū is a Japanese theoretical physicist who works in theoretical solid-state physics. He is currently a professor at Princeton University. Ryū studied physics at the University of Tokyo, receiving a bachelor's degree in 2000 and a master's degree in 2002, and received his doctorate there in 2005 under Yasuhiro Hatsugai.
