Shentalinsky District is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Samara Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,338.2 square kilometers (516.7 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality of Shentala. Population: 16,656; 18,288 (2002 Census); 20,079 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Shentala accounts for 39.7% of the district's total population.
