Shawna S. Baker, a Native American lawyer, citizen of the Cherokee Nation, is the third woman and the first out, two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer person (LGBTQ+) to be appointed a justice on the Cherokee Nation Supreme Court.
