Shawbury is a village and civil parish in Shropshire, England. The village is 8 miles (13 km) northeast of Shrewsbury and 12 miles (19 km) northwest of Telford. The village straddles the A53 between Shrewsbury and Market Drayton. The nearest railway station is at Yorton on the Welsh Marches Line for Shrewsbury/Crewe. The 2011 census recorded a population of 2,872 for the entire civil parish of Shawbury.
