Shapur Sorab Kharegat was a Parsi journalist, editor and former Asia Director of The Economist magazine. Kharegat was born in Bombay, at "Palm Land", the home of his maternal great-grandfather, the ship chandler magnate Kavasjee Dadabhoy Dubash (+31.10.1921), to Col. Dr. Sorabjee Merwanjee Kharegat *1900 +19.10.1963, and his wife Dinbai Mehta.
