text: Shannon Conservation Park is a protected area in the Australian state of South Australia located on the Eyre Peninsula in the gazetted locality of Karkoo about 95 kilometres (59 mi) north of Port Lincoln and about 45 kilometres (28 mi) south of Lock. It was proclaimed under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 in 2007 on land all in Section 100 of the cadastral unit of the Hundred of Shannon which was previously dedicated as a conservation reserve on 2 September 1993 under the Crown Lands Ac
