Serhiy Lysak is a former agent of the Security Service of Ukraine who is since 7 February 2023 Governor of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Lysak participated in the War in Donbas in the years 2014 and 2015 and in 2017. From May 2020 to July 2022, Lysak headed the Department of Security of Zhytomyr Oblast. Following the February 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine he fought against the Russian occupation of the region.
