Sayed Amjad Hussain is a Pakistani-American cardiothoracic surgeon and writer from Maumee, Ohio. He invented two surgical devices – the pleuroperitoneal shunt and a special endotracheal tube. He was a member of Team Indus which covered the entire 2,000 miles of the river Indus in Pakistan from its source in Western Tibet.
