Samuel Miles Hopkins was an American attorney and politician from New York. A Federalist, he served in the United States House of Representatives from 1813 to 1815, the New York State Assembly from 1820 to 1821, and the New York State Senate from 1821 to 1822. A native of Salem, Connecticut, Hopkins attended Yale College and the Litchfield Law School, attained admission to the bar in 1793, and became an attorney in New York.
