Samig Abdukakhkhar was a Soviet and Uzbek author and screenwriter.He is regarded as a central figure in the development of the modern fable genre in 20th-century Uzbek literature. He is known for his humorous short stories, satirical poems, fables, and feuilletons, and was the scriptwriter for several episodes of the television anthology series, Fitil and the feature-length film The Age of Anxiety.
